When someone you care about is arrested in Los Angeles County, start with two questions: where are they now, and what release options are actually available? Future Bail Bonds can help you check the booking information and understand the next step. Call 626-360-3955 for English- or Spanish-speaking support, 24 hours a day.
This is a countywide service-area guide, not a list of Future Bail Bonds offices. The city where an arrest happens may be different from the jail where someone is held or the location that accepts a bond.
Start with the booking record, not a guess
Have the person's full legal name, date of birth, and booking number if you have it. Use the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department inmate information service to check county custody. A new booking may not appear immediately, and a city police lockup may have a separate record. If the search comes back empty, contact the arresting agency rather than assuming the person has been released.
Ask us to confirm the current facility, any transfers, the bail status, and where the bond must be accepted before you drive across the county.
A release decision comes before a bail bond
Not every arrest requires money bail. Los Angeles Superior Court's pre-arraignment release information explains the court's release framework; the charge, court orders, and individual circumstances matter. A person may be eligible for a nonfinancial release, may have bail set, or may have a hold that a bond will not resolve.
A licensed agent can explain the bond process when a bond is allowed. A defense lawyer or public defender should address disputed charges, a request to change bail, or a court-ordered detention. Posting a bond does not dismiss the case or remove protective orders.
What to ask before signing or paying
Ask for the total premium, the amount due now, any collateral requirement, and each co-signer's obligations in writing. Review our bail bond rates and pricing, payment-plan guide, and forms. All bonds are subject to approval; financing and payment plans are on approved credit. The premium is generally non-refundable once the bond is posted.
You can also ask the facility about paying full cash bail directly if money bail is required. Do not send payment to an unverified caller claiming that a booking will disappear or that a release time is guaranteed.
Plan for release and the next court date
Booking, medical review, transfers, other holds, and the facility's workload can affect release. We cannot promise a particular hour. Wait for confirmation of the actual release point before arranging pickup, and have a backup plan for late-night transportation.
Keep the release papers, court date, and any restrictions together. Confirm the courtroom through Los Angeles Superior Court, and contact your lawyer if a court order is unclear. Our California bail FAQ explains co-signer responsibilities and what to do if a court date changes.
Official information and independent help
The Los Angeles County cities directory identifies the county's 88 incorporated cities. The LASD custody directory is the source for county facilities. Facility procedures and housing can change; confirm details directly before visiting.
