Two ways the ride is provided
1. Bail agent ride, when available. If a licensed Future Bail Bonds agent is at or near the facility and can safely transport the released person, the agent may provide the ride.
2. Company-paid Uber or Lyft. If an agent is not available, Future Bail Bonds arranges and pays for a rideshare from the jail to a local destination.
The method depends on agent availability, jail rules, time of day, and safety. Clients do not choose a cash equivalent instead of the ride.

5. After the facility completes its own release process, the agent ride or the paid Uber/Lyft is arranged.
Release timing is controlled by the jail, not the bail agency. We start transportation planning while the bond is in process so the ride is ready when the person walks out.
Why this matters for Orange County and San Diego families
Southern California jails are spread out. Theo Lacy is not a short walk from most homes. Downtown San Diego booking is not served by late-night family drop-off in every case. Impounds, no-contact orders, and work schedules leave many defendants without a driver.

California-compliant terms and limitations
Read these terms before you rely on the offer. They are written to stay consistent with California bail advertising and consumer-protection expectations.
• No cash value. The ride cannot be converted to cash, a gift card, a premium discount, a refund, or any other form of consideration.
• No refunds. If a ride is unused, declined, delayed, cancelled by the jail, unavailable because of weather, surge, or rideshare coverage, or provided in a different form than requested, there is no refund and no credit.
• All bail cases are subject to approval. Posting a bond is not automatic. Underwriting, identification, court conditions, and facility rules apply.
• Agent vs. Uber/Lyft. An agent ride is provided only when a licensed agent is available and it is safe and practical. Otherwise the company pays for Uber or Lyft.
• Local destinations only. Long-distance, out-of-county, or multi-stop trips may be limited or declined.
• Not a guarantee of release time or of a specific driver. The jail controls when a person is physically released.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take the cash instead? No. The benefit has no cash value and cannot be refunded or substituted for money.
Do I still pay the 10% bail bond premium? Yes. California bail bond premiums and any approved discount or payment plan are separate from this courtesy ride. Ask for a quote before you sign.
What if Uber or Lyft will not pick up at that jail? Some facilities have pickup restrictions. The agent will use the allowed pickup point or provide an agent ride when available. There is no refund if a particular app cannot complete the trip.
Does this apply to 0% down or financed bonds? If the bond is posted and approved with Future Bail Bonds for a qualifying Orange County or San Diego release, ask the agent to confirm the ride when you fund the case. Financing approval is separate from ride availability.
